The writer of the review is Simon Reynolds, who's been writing for the
British music weeklies since the Dawn of Time. He occasionally does
freelance reviews for American mags.

I was disappointed with this article, myself: they didn't talk to Mark
Gage at all, and the writer seemed to belittle alt.rave's beefs about
Moby's "live" performances without going into the points that were raised.

Unfortunately, though, it seems that more often than not they miss the point
of the music. Witness the consistently inconsistent reviews in "Option"
magazine.
