Hello everyone, I hear so much of the English (western europe) Electronica Music scene, so I was wondering, what is the Electronica music scene like in Russia / CIS or Eastern Europe? IF its not very large, are there any IDM musicians at all? If there are, who are the major players? Any response from the area in question would be warmly invited, but dont let that discourage the rest of you! nick --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

From the few electronic releases I have out of Russia, I would say they have a pretty impressive group of producers. People like Fizzarum, Solar X, and Novel 23 are the first three that come to mind but if you want to hear more about the Russian scene I recommend you purchase the excellent Artefakts compilation cd on the ArtTek label. If I\'m not mistaken, it features nothing but Russian producers. I believe Bent Crayon just got a bunch of copies in. I highly recommend it. -->-Lance---- lance@inaudible.com PO Box 450715 Westlake, Ohio 44145 United States --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

The Solar X and Artefakts comp are spotty and the Fizzarum is out of print so Novel 23 might be your best bet. http://www.pitchcadet.com or skimomusic@home.com Matt --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

This question may be answered already. As far as Russian electronic music, i HIGHLY suggest you check the Art-Tek label for all your musical needs. http://www.mu.ru/ I good start would be the Artefacts compilation. What a lovely disc. Artists include Fizzarum, Eu, Lazyfish, DJ Compass Vrubell, J-Toonz, Kustota, Ambidextrous, T.A.D.E.M., Panya, Scsi-9, Cutoff, Novel23, and Solar X.
