The infamous Warp pressing-plant strikes again. Although my copies of "On" are fine, my most recent Warp vinyl (DiY - Strictly for Groovers) is badly pressed. Sides A, B, and D all skipped incessantly, and the replacement copy was even worse. In the end I gave up and got the CD. I have half a mind to phone Sheffield and ask what pressing plant they use, so when I come to release my own tracks I know what company to avoid. Btw, all the coloured vinyl pressings of the AI albums suffer from excessive surface noise. I'm told this is mainly because the vinyl has been recycled. On my orange copy of "Electrosoma", the surface noise almost drowns out the music on some tracks. -malc.
