There is an article in this week's Newsweek about ambient house music. It's not terribly informative to any of us, but it's not too badly written and seems decently researched (despite a small number of factual errors, most notably the title of the Meat Beat Manifesto song mentioned in there is "Pot Sounds," not "Pot Music" as they wrote). There's a classic picture of the Orb along with it (we've all seen similar ones before) and Patterson and the Orb are mentioned numerous times in the article. And there's almost no mention of drugs. :-) It's actually a fairly positive article; check it out. - Adam J Weitzman INDIVIDUAL, Inc. weitzman@individual.com

I've just been over this week Newsweek (November 15) twice, and I can't find this article you're talking of. Could you give a page reference? -------- > There is an article in this week's Newsweek about ambient house music. > It's not terribly informative to any of us, but it's not too badly > written and seems decently researched (despite a small number of factual > errors, most notably the title of the Meat Beat Manifesto song mentioned > in there is "Pot Sounds," not "Pot Music" as they wrote).
