Brief History of Ambient Vol. 2?
Dave Stein (see the cc: field) has "A Brief History of Ambient" listed in his latest catalog for $22.50, on Virgin. Is this a misprint or can we expect another double-barreled shotgun blast of classic ambient tunes? Is it true? Brian (pulling out his checkbook)

yes, it's true. there are some new tracks on there, too, from william orbit and brian eno. all the artists are or were on virgin, so you get a nice smattering of mid-70's through current work. but where have you been, brian? :) that's been reviewed right here on this list about 3 times already and talked about to death on alt.rave and rec.music.newage. dig through the archives. i reviewed it, and i think jon did too, and maybe pete... (sorry, i'm just channeling jon's klf/orb list pseudo-flame off of me and onto you...) mike Mike J. Um, I didn't see any discussion about *Vol.*2*. I saw plenty about Vol. 1. And knowing Volume 1 was a double CD I was just curious if Vol. 2 was simply the second disc of the first volume, or a whole new thing. Brian

er, sorry to correct you yet again mike, but brian was asking about VOLUME TWO - see the subject line.

that was volume one you're talking about there.

well, i wouldn't keep pseudo-flaming you if you'd get your facts straight once in a while... :) :) :) :) Jon Drukman jdrukman%dlsun87@oracle.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This calls for a very special blend of psychology and extreme violence.
