BEACH BOYS ENDLESS SUMMER, BEATLES WHITE ALBUM and since he bought me my first
walkman THE POLICE AND DEVO. . .going to spain in my sophmore year i picked up
onto MIKE OLDFIELD and 5 MILES OUT and returned to my buddies who were head-
strong into THE DEAD. . .travelled on the HENDRIX AXIS. . .and then it was off
to college where i had a housemate from the jersey projects . . .than mean hip
hop (all night long) 98.7 kiss master mix dj red alert goes bazerk and as well
chuck chillout. . .failed out of college and fell into BONGWATER and picked
up surfing phlange waves with the BUTTHOLES.. . .worked back into college and
started buying PUBLIC ENEMY, BEASTUE, JJ FAD, MARRS, and truckloads of dance
music. . .graduated to the sounds of early techno and beat pie (read rock/dance
remixes. . .and then full on love of techno took hold by hitting my first rave
STORM of course and then getting my first taste of uk hardcore off a FANTASIA
tape of ELLIS D rocking the mike making scratching noises. . .and then came
dub. . .BLACK UHURU in dub LEE SCRATCH and other assorted world beats. . then
the WORKS (Selected). . .i still love it all and use it all. . .last night
i layered the beach boys "in my room" into F.U.S.E. XCNTRK . . .as well started
side one with the radio exp intro and side two with "this generation, rules the
nation, with version". . .revolution number 9 off the white album pops up
everywhere in the mix. . .as does tracks from infrared roses (dead space)
and seastones. . .one of my first moments occured with a moby/hendrix mix. . .
mixing GO with THE THIRD STONE FROM THE SUN. . . .so i digress but the message
is. . .if you dont know you past you don't know you future. . .or is it come
and join the future. . .
