we gave it a bit more praise than that.
quoted 2 lines as for those who have never heard of it, me, or anything else, i think mike> as for those who have never heard of it, me, or anything else, i think mike > brown summed it up with a new category entitled "intelligent ambient electro.
don't quote me on that. i'd rather fight the term "intelligent" as much as anyone when coming up with ways to describe music. all music is intelligent, in my opinion. as far as the contents of _falv_ go, it was the easiest way i could describe it -- "intelligent" in that it is structurally similar to the kind of music currently being called "intelligent" today; "ambient" in that it has a hypnotic, chord-based atmospheric quality, and "electro" in that the actual sounds that you use, especially in the first song, are very electronicky & harsh, yet fluidly analogue, and the sounds that are in the forefront are usually percussive even though they aren't always coming from a "percussion" instrument. i'm sure i don't have a firm grasp of what exactly "real" electro is; maybe i should say "intelligent-style ambient- style electro-style." :) mike Mike J.
