my favorites idm-related this year are these releases so far (a bit abstract oriented i guess and not to danceable some of these) helios - ayres eluvium - copia the tuss - rushup edge stars of the lid - and their refinement... arp - in light murcof - cosmos deepchord - the coldest season amiina - kurr tom middleton - lifetracks (so old-school it hurts!) (non-idm wise: electrelane, fujiya&miyagi, maps, radical face, miracle fortress, the national, justice, a mountain of one, the tough alliance, jon redfern, hans appelqvist, and a vital effort from springsteen) nothing is close to the brilliance of neon bible from the arcade fire though, even if it's got nothing to do with idm :) On 10/11/07, Joris Ferrand <funnyfacemaker@gmail.com> wrote:

i just watched TekkonKinkreet again last night... unbelievable new anime from Studio 4c (japanese animation powerhouse).. if you're into uber new-school animation at all this is pretty essential viewing, and yes, plaid does the entire soundtrack.
