++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
The wonderously surreal follow up to last years "Fresh Air" album, the stuntmen come back with some more gorgeous twisted indie electronics. "Like a Stuntmen have, in short, done it again, but only better. Not only have they retained their fun and highly inventive use of sounds, but they have notched their songwriting skills several notches, becoming bonafide song crafters in the process. On Stan Places, the band is a tad more mellow, but a lot more focussed, and the end result is a collection of six fabulous songs. A strong mid 2006 contender for EP of the year, Stan Places is sure to give smiles to discerning listeners all summer long. Highly recommended!" 5/5 Somewherecold.com
"This is the kind of material that validates our existence. There's pop enough, there's accessibility enough to justify our ramming it down your elegant throat and there's more than sufficience of cool, left-fielded charm and invention to justify you swallowing with pleasure. Why? Why not? After all, there are riffs, "Stan Places" opening with a killa-dilla that is dressed to the hilt and "Trash Island" does even better with it's hang-dog acoustic riff that pulls all of the cooler sound-band back to make a mini-epic. All of which leaves us, or hopefully, you with a six track slab of weirdly gentle alt-popping that could have taken cues from Party Of One, or Beck or any Chelsea Hotel scratch band, but Like A Stuntman didn't need to because they are. You know, they are and they are here" Unpeeled

I must say i've become quite addicted to shopping on Bleep, and have purchased way too much dubstep in the past few weeks, but its a pretty cool shopping experience.
