call to all the producers, new electronic project
Dresden - city of electronics
This year, the city of Dresden will celebrate its 800th
birthday. On the occasion of these festivities, the
project "Splendid Junk" was created. This project is
about music productions of the electronic kind, using
speech samples from an old record describing the city
of Dresden. These samples can be downloaded from
the website
http://server.black-it.org/SplendidJunk/ .
There are absolutely no limitations regarding the
production and usage of these samples. The people
running Sleepy City and Suburban Trash, as well as
two more people active in the electronic music scene
of Dresden, are inviting you to enter this contest and
subsequently upload your finished tracks to the website
again. The scope of this contest also comprises an event
and possibly the release of the best tracks on either vinyl
or cd. Have fun!
