The only thing I can think of that might work is Cycling 74's "M" http://www.cycling74.com/products/m.html But you need OS 8 minimum. What OS does it have? System 7? I used to use an SE live, with a very early version of Max. I can't imagine using System 8 on one--even System 7 was too slow. I used System 6 and took out MultiFinder since I didn't need to run but the one application. HMSL (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMSL) works very well on older Macs.
