> The Village Orchestra - 'Et In Arcadia Ego' considering there's been rumblings of discontent that not enough music is being talked about on the list recently (which is fair enough) i'll throw my £0.02/2c in by saying i can't recommend this album highly enough. absolutely beautiful electronics that you can tell has been painstakingly and lovingly put together, with an emphasis on melody and feeling. listen to some tracks at http://highpointlowlife.com/ and http://ruaridh.marciablaine.com/ , if that's your thing you won't be disappointed. I'd go along with Nick, and say this is a very nice release.

If you want more that fits the above description, Secede's latest 'Tryshasla' (already big-upped by someone else on the list - thanks for the tip) fits the bill: <http://microsites.sendingorbs.com/so002/> Track 3, which is a collab with Kettel, is one of the most upful passages of 'emotional electronica' I've heard in a while - none of that namby-pamby 'melancholy' we've all been mainlining for years. WARNING: Very few beats were employed in the making of this album, so caution should be exercised by those with stringent headbanging requirements. alan ---------------------- Alan Lockett (Senior Language Co-ordinator - EFL) Language Centre, University of Bristol, 30-32 Tyndall's Park Road, Bristol, BS8 1PY, UK tel: +44 (0)117 3310914 e-mail: Alan.R.Lockett@bristol.ac.uk --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
