I'll echo the recommendation for flavorpill, as they usually have a
wide variety of interesting events listed. Unfortunately, they only
list things for the upcoming week as far as I know so it's hard to use
it to plan in advance.
I don't really know of anything special going on the 19th-21st...you
picked kind of a bad time to come! Love Parade is the following weekend
which doesn't look so great musically but should be quite a spectacle
(I hope). Looks like there's lots of stuff happening the week after.
There may be a few locals things going on, depending on your tastes.
There's a techno-oriented weekly Tuesdays, but it's usually pretty
empty. There's also a drum & bass weekly called Phuturo that I haven't
checked out yet. I see that Dead Can Dance are playing here Wednesday,
if you're into that sort of thing. Also Bloc Party if you're into
*that* sort of thing. There are lots of things listed on sfstation.com.
I only moved here a few months ago but I'm happy to play tour guide.
