Greetings, we are about to achieve one year working as a netlabel, wich means a year working on the production and distribution of our productions, just like an independent label does. During this time, our working team has grown and because of the technology, it has been posible to colaborate with more people, even outside Mexico, like the venezolan designer Nuuro and the argentinian musicians from Zensible Beats Crew, who are offering us the ep called Pingüinos. This is our latest release, and the first one in wich we worked with people from other countries, not only on the musical aspect but also on the design of the cover art. We have been forced to reschedule some releases (Senzible Beats Crew, Destreza, Transistor and Bifidus) as well as the release of Notch, our e-zine, but each and everyone of our project will see the light very soon. The new release dates for our next 3 releases is september 16 and for Notch is september 9 , so please keep an eye on our activities. Among the improvements you will find soon on our site there is the inclusion of a monthly schedule. This because of our growing activities. We invite all of you to listen to the first on-line mexican electronic music festival, Filtro will be present on september 10th with our projects Plug, Kampión and Karras., The url of this live fest, wich has already started is: www.electronicamexicana.org . The fest is produced and coordinated by our friends at Discos Invisibles, Tijuana.

Saludos. __________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ Correo Yahoo! hello idmlisters (particularly the NYC/BK kind), just wanted to give a last minute invite to a last minute event going on in Greenpoint tonight... no live music, just playing a new comp and DJing. To celebrate the thawing out of a long frozen ecclectic music outlet based in Brooklyn (Little Fury Things Records) we've put together a new compilation of exciting sounds spanning from cough-syrup-stoner-hip-hop to psychedelic-space-ballads to just plain racket. the new comp features remixes by thorston sideb0ard and william fields from teamtechno. I know some on this list contributed remixes to a remix compilation we put together a couple years ago, and the comp was never released (as the label disappeared), but i'll be getting to all of you soon with news on it's imminent awakening (it was better that we waited to do it properly, please trust me on that). site is still being reconstructed, but a lot of sound samples of different label outfits here... http://www.littlefurythings.net Below is the invite i just sent out to my knucklehead friends... if you come buy and introduce yourself i'll give you a damned comp, ok? ****************************************** What the hell is this crappy-stink-spam?! Well, gather around my little gutter critters and open up your sound holes for some history? back in the day, Little Fury Things records was a Brooklyn-based music label that put out a dozen-or-so wacky releases oh, back between 2001 and ?03? then the scrappy beast went into hibernation? and thought about all the bad things it had done? until now. That be right, LFT records is back with a ? squizzle-zip-pop? and a bribble-piz-shnooon!? Come by the Marc Bar tonight, Wednesday August 31st cause at 10pm (sharp!) we?ll be playing the brand baby-spanking new LFT Compilation in it?s entirety featuring 13 artists over 23 tracks of super-diverse Team LFT sonic-pile-drivers... and we?ll have comps for sale for? like? I?m not sure yet, but no more than $3, maybe as low as $1, with cool hand-crayoned covers and neat-o packaging. Drinks are cheap, CDs are cheap? you can feel rich for once in your miserable life! This is the weird new stuff you don?t have yet and let?s face it, you can?t afford ?real? CDs anyway, so? see ya tonight, eh?.... $2 PBRs/cheap Cds directions and such? http://www.themarkbar.com/ still putting the finishing touches on it, but here?s the new label website with tons of sound samples and ample info on LFT poop stains? http://www.littlefurythings.net hugs and punches!!!! _________________________________________________________________ Is your PC infected? Hi everyone, I have just come across a remarkable website/concept at pandora.com (currently in public beta). It does not strictly concern IDM, but I thought I'd pass this along. I would suggest you take a couple of minutes to read the FAQ but here is one Q/A from the site: "Q: How do you decide what to play? A: We take your input (artists, songs) and feedback ("I like this", "I don't like this") and use the Music Genome Project to create stations that play songs that are musically similar to what you've told us. That's it; only the music counts. We don't care how popular the artist is, who's backing them, and we don't care which genre bin they usually belong in. Only the music matters." As you will see, a subscription is necessary after the first 10 free hours. Hope this will interest enough of you to justify my spamming the whole list. By the way, I am in no way associated with the site, the company, or any of the individuals involved. That's it.
