Everyone, I am happy to report that I have recived my free ipod. And then, about a week later, they went ahead and sent me a free Tshirt! Anyway, with the Tshirt, they were advertising a new site for free PICTURE 40GB ipods. Have any of you guys gotten your freeipods yet? If you want a picture one, you gotta get 10 referrals, instead of five - but I think it's worth it. Even if you refer yourself 9 times :) If you decide you want to try for the free picture ipod, please use my link: http://www.freephotoiPods.com/?r=13749338 Thanks to this free ipod, I can listen to El-Clon - Bakalaka Tree when I am in the car. That track rocks, dude. -Barry __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Mail - You care about security. the free ipod site supposively is legit. i did one of those emarketresearch things though and never received my free nintendo ds. they sent me an e-mail saying it was shipping pending shipping authoratization but the link just took me back to the same series of sign up for these e-mail offers i had to fill out the first time. tried e-mailing them and the e-mail was returned. peace, a On Jan 27, 2005, at 10:21 PM, Mark Schieldrop wrote:

its funny how useless an ipod is to the average consumer. Yet teenage girls think they are cute so somehow they have gotten big just for that reason. not many people have 5 thousand songs on their computer anyway. Barry Yarbrough <a_void2000@yahoo.com> wrote: --- Mark Schieldrop wrote:

ooh. I beg to differ, honey. As somebody who works in and around music, I can't say how useful it is to have (nearly) my entire library of recordings on one little, portable hard drive. With a mini-stereo->RCA Audio converter, I can connect my iPod to the sound system in a lecture hall/classroom spontaneously. I've stopped counting how many "songs" I own, but my 40G baby is brimming with musical samples. Mind you, I will agree that many people don't use iPods to their full capabilities. But you could say the same thing about the PC market as a whole: how many people are landing aircraft with their new G5s? =] LMG On Jan 30, 2005, at 3:16 PM, ed c wrote:

Hmmm...interesting thought...I just checked, I have 8,177 files in my music folder...109 GB...that's what I've collected in the past few years...most all of it is legit (or so ridiculously rare that I could not get it "legit")...crazy. I'm sorta' waiting until the MP3 players break the 100 GB barrier...that and a good gapless play feature. 337is -----Original Message----- From: ed c [mailto:echurch86@yahoo.com] Sent: Sunday, January 30, 2005 4:16 PM To: Indigo Danelions Merrygolds Subject: RE: [idm] ipod its funny how useless an ipod is to the average consumer. I'll tell ya- those Infinite Complexity kids know how to throw a party. The Little Temple was PACKED as I showed up mid-way into Daedalus' set. Good funky boomy stuff from him. Sometimes he's hit or miss. Tonight he was hit. Next up was Busdriver. I'm no fan of hip hop or rap, but the crowd was diggin' it and dancing the whole time. Edit had his shit goin'. Thunderous lows, grainy, square-wavey melodies, some glitchy fuckery like the best of Funkstorung's idm stuff. All very head-noddy. It would be nice to hear something a bit more up-tempo, more driving from him. Richard Devine didn't destroy his laptop like he did his keyboard the weekend prior (I kid you not- last weekend at the end of his set he lit his keyboard on fire ala Jimi Hendrix and then smashed it to bits with a baseball bat ala Pete Townsend smashing his guitar- total rock star and I loved it!). Richie seems to be turning over a new leaf or two and I can't say I'm all too excited about it. All of the techno he does these days has been done better by Surgeon and Starfish Pool numerous times. His gabber stuff doesn't come close to Kid 606's. He tried some hardcore jungle type stuff with the hyper-spastic drummer like so many VSnares songs. I certainly don't need to hear Richie try run-of-the-mill drum n bass. And it sure would be nice if he even attempted to throw in a melody or bass line and not just think that an hour and twenty minutes of drum loops is gonna impress everybody in the crowd. But with all that said, still a great party with much dancing. Lookin' forward to the next. www.infinitecomplexity.org ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OH SHIT - how sick were edIT and Devine? DAMN, son. YAY REPRESENT!
