www.IntelligentDanceMusic.com is back up now, sorry about the downtime. I've created my own streaming software and server which is transcoding to all 3 bitrates on the fly now live (using about 6% CPU, vs 99% before). Everything is live now as well right out of my audio player. I've also imported support for live interviews with artists. If you're an artist and have an upcoming release and would like to be interviewed live on the site (just download my client software, turn on your mic, and connect to my server) and i'll record it live straight to mp3 which will be archived on the site for download as well. This is all new technology, back when I first started this streaming there weren't many options and ontop of options, not much functionality either. We only have a couple of T1s here so bandwidth is limited atm. I may ship this back out somewhere to be colocated with more bandwidth like before. I'm also thinking about having a reviews and commentary day sometime during the week for an hour or two (which will be recorded live and archived). If anyone keeps very up to date with IDM and would like to talk more about this, and talk live about what's new, who's new, what sucks, what rocks, etc, etc, just msg me and I'll give you more details on how to do so. I personally don't have time to myself or I would, just think it's a good idea. Comment at will. sine@IntelligentDanceMusic.com : (Certified Master Linux Administrator) : (Certified Unix Security Specialist)

worx fine mate. EXCELLENT choice of music. why the pauses between the tracks? hmm. wait. i like it. makes this nice "lonely radiostation at the end of the world" effect. WXJL tonight The way it was in the past, a long, long time ago Before staff levels dropped, they used to listen to the radio And listen to the DJs talk about the songs they didn't know As if it really mattered Hit-pick or phone-in show I don't want you to go tonight Ten thousand watts of power News headlines on the hour tonight Our music beats the best You just don't need the rest tonight Once I couldn't care at all But I can feel the ratings fall tonight And twenty years ago, no-one seemed to care The people must have known the DJ's role was only there To fill in space between the songs that talk of love and other things As if they didn't matter Automatic stations came and sent them all away And now I'm left alone I haven't got a word to say And you're the one who makes the choice to turn me on or turn me off But now it really matters Hit-pick or phone-in show I don't want you to go tonight Ten thousand watts of power News headlines on the hour tonight Our music beats the best You just don't need the rest tonight Once I couldn't care at all But I can feel the ratings fall tonight Hit-pick or phone-in show I don't want you to go tonight Ten thousand watts of power News headlines on the hour tonight Our music beats the best You just don't need the rest tonight Ten thousand watts of power News headlines on the hour tonight ( http://www.blindyouth.freeuk.com/A-WXJL.htm ) words and music by The Human League published by Virgin Music (Publishers) Ltd.

Ah, some tracks just have trailing silence. Most don't though. I could do a 1 or 2 second overlap but I'd rather not I suppose. sine@IntelligentDanceMusic.com : (Certified Master Linux Administrator) : (Certified Unix Security Specialist) On 22 Oct 2004 at 22:15, Robert Feuchtl wrote:
