You DON'T want to be in a romantic situation with somebody, when suddenly a Cold Meat Industries track comes along ... trust me! (Been there, done that; rather interruptedly.) I went to a Sonic Youth show recently, and Wolf Eyes opened for them. They're industrial/dark ambient. I was trying to get into their music, but it wasn't doing anything for me. At one point I started to feel terrible, like I needed to throw up and my head was spinning. I felt so bad I had to sit down, and the only thing I can attribute it to is the music. As soon as the song was over I felt better. This thread just reminded me of it...the end :) ak In a message dated 10/3/2004 12:51:14 PM Pacific Standard Time, chthonic@chthonicstreams.com writes: Subject: Re: [idm] records too creepy to fall asleep with ------------------------------------------------------------------------

That's great. Wolf eyes did the same thing to me at the 2003 demf/movement festival. Since my friends were rocking out over by the speakers I thought it was just me. Maybe its intentional that they try to create nausea in the listener. That still doesn't explain my friends rocking out though. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Sounds like Ultra low frequency sound waves, they'll shake your insides up so bad your liver and insides explode, if exposed to them for long enough and loud enough. Throbbing Gristle were into them, I think. So was Tesla, and suppossedly that HARPP project up in the boonies of Alaska is related to those experiments. I have this "Close to Absolute Zero" comp cd that the last track you can't really hear, but when you look at the meters on the mixer, it's peaking like crazy! Speaking of which, anyone heard any idm with binaural beats, which are suppossed to induce alpha or theta brain waves? --- Blake Mikesell <djfuckstick@tmail.com> wrote:
