One of my favourite classic IDM artists is Germ. Around '93, when hardtrance, hardcore/gabba and jungle dominated he started releasing very abstract trax that were a mixture of (quite slow) techno, electronics and a bit of jazz. I still love his music, especially his analog sounds that sometimes remind me of early LFO, but sound even more like pure electricity.
