Hello Group, A buddy turned me on to BoC. I cant get enough. Ive scoured slsk and have tons of tracks now. im trying to compile an accurate collection so it can be shared properly. Im looking for any information on tracklistings of "demo vol II" or "a few old tunes 2" Ive got a couple sets of tracks that overlap and arent clear as to the release. Im also looking for tracks from Acid Memories, Play by Numbers, Catalog 3, Closes Vol. 1, and Hooper Bay. Thanks ! __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Catalogue 3 was a cassette released in '97/'98 and to my knowledge has never been 'leaked' (though numerous fakes have circulated), the same can be said about Play by Numbers though many assume it was released in the early nineties (Discogs reports '94, but I've heard people say as early as '92). It should also be said that many believe Play by Numbers was given to very, very, very few people by the amount of information that is around about it. Hooper Bay and Acid Memories are a different breed being both have been 'leaked' and can be found through some decent scouring. I should also note that some claim that Hooper Bay was pressed on vinyl, but no one knows if this is true or not (I assume not being the Music 80 webpage listed it as cassette only). Acid Memories is interesting because it's said to be their earliest recorded material. I should make it clear the above information is all rumor. I can confirm that Acid Memories and Hooper Bay exist because I know people who have them. As for the rest, one can only speculate. Also, most of this material is boring. I've only followed it out of curiosity (similar to my love for Jandek). Enjoy amg --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

a friend of mine downloaded "demo vol II". it just sounds to me like someone trying to mimic BoC's style. it still comes off not really sounding like actual BoC. this would be fine if it were still good music, but it's pretty shitty IMHO. if you already downloaded it, highlight all the icons in the folder and hit the "delete" button. brandon invergo __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? I've never heard of "DEmo Vol.II" but I downloaded "A Few Old Tunes" a couple months ago and I love it. I am 100% it is Boards. I have heard cheap BoC ripoffs, but that release sounds just in their style. And if not, fuck it...it still rocks. later4now! I know for a fact that the tracks on A Few Old Tunes (Vol 1 at least) is genuine... or at the very least the majority of them are. I have been fortunate enough to hear some authentic BOC demo cassettes that contain many of those songs, so I would assume the others came from early demos as well.
