well there are some various events around happening nothing regualr: phoniq.net is the collective I just started up we do events every other month last friday july 2nd at the casa was are last event with pheek, naw and zen all live and khanfunctious and cyan djing we sort of explore all areas of deeper electronic music idm included... there is also ambient tues-dis at missy bar on mt royal they do more idm then ambient other then that there isnt much happening which is why I was happoing to get a meet together and see if any one wants to start up a regualr night... as ever since plateau flexout change venues its no longer idm as the main person who played idm left that collective... hope this helps you some.... Mitchell Akiyama and friends had a night at Bluedog every tuesday but i dont think its still happening ??? yeah but he mostly does the popular stuff like ellen alien or funkstrom along side 100s of indie rock shows... oh there is also BROKEN at blizzarts on thursday nights and dj minis night overdose at parking but these are both more dance oriented....

I've been searching for idm friendly nights in montreal for about a year now (!). I'm happy to finally find that I'm not the only one. Other than the occasional random show and mutek which was awesome there doesn't seem to be much else.
