A tip is the new compilation CD from Punkt Music (www.punktmusic.de),
"Coming Closer - Punkt Music Compilation". Dub Taylor is included as well as
Holger Flinsch and Attila Jahanvash. There is also some more IDM like stuff
from Dribs, Seidensticker and Lazy Boned Brothers.

well, to start with about half the tracks have vocals, which are sung in
english by by people with heavy german accents. frankly, the vocals
themselves aren't the greatest but i don't find them to be the focal point
of the music. it's not as dirty sounding as the previous album(without
sounding brittle and sterile), the beats seem to be a bit more interesting,
and there are no little between song intros. personally, i like it a lot and
would recommend it to anyone who likes stuff on kompakt, perlon, playhouse,
etc.
by the way, that perlon "superlongevity" comp. is pretty great if you've not
picked it up yet.
also, does anyone want to share opinions on the latest batch of force/mille
plateau releases?
