So, the new Fennesz is interesting. Except for that vocal bit, of course. seek np: 'Venice' --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Oh yeah. That new Fennesz is really nice. The progression from Hotel Parallel to Venice is interesting. He seems to be getting more "accessible" with each release, but not to the point where he's going Top 40 or anything. Except maybe on that vocal track, which doesn't bother me at all. Although the mood doesn't really match the rest of the album. I might have to make this a Fennesz day now. Maybe start with Plus 47 degrees... -Alan Quoting seeklektek <eclectics@comcast.net>:

That last line reminds me of a bit from a William Kotzwinkle novel, 'The Fan Man'. The Fan Man has a 'Dorky Day': he repeats the word, "Dorky", over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and you get the point. For an entire chapter. Fennesz' stuff is like that: a mantra. A dorky mantra. ;) seek np: Digitonal - '23 Things Fall Apart' (track 6, 'Drencrom', sounds like a cover of Sakamoto's 'Coda'.) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Oh yeah. I can dig that. I could probably listen to 014 +- 8.02 ALL GODDAM DAY. If you really want to go off on the dorky tip, try listening to Ween's Pizza Hut ads on repeat for about a half hour or so. Awesome. It's essential that you alternate between the two versions. http://www.chocodog.com/chocodog/ween/ween_new/audio.html -Alan Quoting seeklektek <eclectics@comcast.net>:
