We've been on the road for a few days and here's what's happened. San Diego - Not a whole lot of people but a good way to kick off the tour, and the guys from the Brokenbeat kru are our homies. So big ups to them for throwing the show. Some guy came up to me and asked me if I had anything against George Bush. After I told him I wasn't into Bush he said, "Oh yeah well I like him, he's my man.". Whatever. Los Angeles- If anything we knew we could count on our hometown to come through for us. Playing to a packed (2 room) Infinite Complexity crows, we turned the place out. Thank God for that show. San Francisco- Well, it happened on a Sunday. What more can we say. It was held in a cool art gallery with a wack owner. As soon as Phthalocyanine hit the stage. I think the owner got a little frightened by our sound to say the least. All our SF homies came out to represent so that was good. Big ups to Kid 606, Twerk, Kit Clayton, Gold Chains, Mochipet, Sote, Sutekh, Duran Duran Duran, and many others for making it out. Big ups to Dan Hai and the Konstrukt kru for hanging in there for us. Seattle- This was actually a pretty solid turnout which was good. The whole ORAC kru was in effect so big ups to Bruno Pronsato and Randy Jones for reppin' it right. The highlight was actually last night when Bruno got us into the Luomo show at Chop Suey. Luomo was late. So Phthalocyanine went up on stage, and commandeered Bruno's gear and pretended to be Luomo. Then I snuck into the sound booth with the guy that we're staying with and coerced him into saying shit like "Give it up for Luomo!", "Woohoo V-Delay!", and "Everybody loves pussy!". After that we got kicked out of the sound booth but everybody thought Phthalocyanine was Luomo so that was the shit. Eventually he showed up so people were pretty confused. Tonight we're off to Missoula. I heard it rocks. Gonna have to deal with 8FM fucking farting up a storm in the truck but hopefully it'll be worth the drive. I'll have more updates for you soon. Or as a friend of mine who was at that show put it: "there was a good set and then a sometimes good/sometimes annoying set then some dumbshits standing around and then some wanker hurting my ears and then luomo" On Thu, 18 Mar 2004, edIT wrote:

So we rocked Missoula Thursday night. Got in there did the damn thang then drove to Portland at 1:30 in the morning. Good party. A bunch of crazy kids with crazy haircuts in a crazy movie theater. 8FM turned the party out and got an encore. Chris was a great host and we thank him for the hospitality. After a long ass drive through the middle of night listening to 8FM fart up a storm, we finally made it to Portland, Oregon at 10:30 in the morning. We got a room at the Holiday Inn and crashed hard. Woke up at 7:00 pm and went down to Holocene. I had previously done a show here and was glad that Scott McLean was down to do this show. So I kick off the night, the crowd is mellow which is good for my stuff. Phthalocyanine went on after me and I think he added a few new moves to the Phthalo dance which was tight. But during his set, some old fifty year old guy came up and slipped him a note that said, "thin it down, losing customers". After that, Phthalocyanine busted into the helicopter dance and started freaking out in front of the speaker cab. It was awesome. I think once again he showed everyone in Portland the true meaning of "next level shit". 8FM got kinda bummed by the crowd and at the end of his set busted out a sample that said, "Thank you Portland, when you come to LA you will learn how to party.". But hey, Scott fed us good food and hooked us up with drinks so there's no complaints. After that we hit the road and 11:50 pm. I got us out of Oregon in 4.5 hours which is not bad. It took us 16 hours total to get back to LA. We arrived at 4:30 pm Saturday. All in all I think LA was our best city. Since the tour was called the "Going back to Cali" tour, I think for good reasons, there's no place like home. 'Til next time folks. This is edIT, your favorite crunk master.
