I live in Philly. Although I am somewhat reclusive, I do seek out shows and events online. I rarely find anything worthwhile. Philly seems to have a very strong ebm/industrial/synthpop/electroclash scene, but nothing that I'm interested in. I was sorely disappointed upon moving here. Again, my view could be a bit skewed since I don't get out much...but please let me know if you happen to find anything! I'd go to that laptop battle but I'm 20, and the venue is 21+. That could be the problem, too. NYC seems to have a *lot* going on. I don't know about Chicago, but I have a feeling it's probably as dead as Philly. ~alyssa --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

King Britt used to post to this list. If he's out there, maybe he can help ~you~ and some other Philly kids get hooked up with a space to do your ~own~ nite. Yo, King? If you heart the deep space thing, stars end gatherings are a "do". Chuck Van Zyl has been airing this radio show called "stars end" long before any of us had ever knew how to jerk off, much less put on a set of headphones. Seriously though, we're talking brian eno getting philly airplay in the early 70s. these concerts are worth checking out to match up influences, dig? http://www.thegatherings.org/49gather.html IDM content: shuttle 358 makes their best of 2003 list: http://www.starsend.org/03rev.html -----Original Message----- From: seeklektek [mailto:eclectics@comcast.net] Sent: Friday, February 20, 2004 8:48 PM To: idm@hyperreal.org Subject: Re: [idm] Philly From: <iambic5@temple.edu>
