in the Surgeon Sept. 12 2003 mix that was posted to this list a few months ago, there's this incredible track that starts at about 1:09:00 into the mix. super industrial with male vocal screaming "go go charge charge lies lies" etc. this is the rawest techno trak i've heard in years and i know someone on the list knows who it is. bonus points if you can tell me what the vocal is sampled from (i'm assuming this is a sample). sounds like maybe Nitzer Ebb to me, but i'm not as well-versed in industrial classics as i should be. help a brother out, put yer tekno-geek caps on and id this for me. -zach_bass --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Without having heard the track specifically I would guess that it's Nitzer Ebb "Join in the Chant" in which case the actual lyrics are more like the following: ". . .gold gold gold gold judge judge judge judge fire fire fire muscle and hate muscle and hate . . ." blah blah blah -j Zach Bass wrote:

Has anybody got this Surgeon mix online anywhere? When I originally tried to get it from the Surgeon website it was down, and now the site is up but there's some other mix there instead. If you mean the Surgeon edit of Join in the Chant then no, the edits are only really for DJing - it was a Final Scratch set. Recently he's just been using Abelton Live for DJing.
