Now that there is a discount for the Piehead 2002 series, I can actually afford to acquaint myself with this label. Always nice to get into something new, you know. It seems that I can purchase about three records without havig to pay value-added tax, so I have to limit myself to just a couple of releases. So, what are your favorites of the Piehead catalog, especially of the 2002 series? The 2002 selection includes the following CDR's: ARC/Aidan Baker - Repercussion hellothisisalex - the canadian spelling program David Kristian - My Three Suns I8U - grasshopper morphine Your Favorite Horse - I Would Close My Eyes But All I See Is The Massacre Multiplex - Iroquois Vague Terrain Recordings - A Viable Alternative to Actual Sexual Contact naw - gibberish I Am Robot And Proud - You Make Me This Happy Andrew Duke - Highest Common Denominator V/Vm - untitled Which of these would you suggest? thanks, .: visa tapani --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

well Im sort of biased here being a piehead artist myself (naw) how ever I would generally say that the 2002 series as a whole is all good its all top quality material and if you buy the whole series I belive they throw in the comp cd with exclusive tracks from everyone in that years series... if you have to pick and choose it really all depends on what your tastes are, my personal favorites from that series are (in no particular order):
quoted 4 lines ARC/Aidan Baker - Repercussion> ARC/Aidan Baker - Repercussion > I8U - grasshopper morphine > Vague Terrain Recordings - A Viable Alternative to Actual Sexual Contact > naw - gibberish (yes this is my record how ever it probally has some of
my favorite tracks Ive ever written on it)
quoted 2 lines Andrew Duke - Highest Common Denominator> Andrew Duke - Highest Common Denominator > V/A - save your fork there is pie
if one of the releases from the series doesnt appear there its not becasue I dont like it its becasue I personally felt that these artists have had some stronger releases befor or after this release..hope this helps you out some... but again I would go for getting the whole series... you get one more cd with it and you get the best of all worlds... neil aka naw On Tue, 4 Nov 2003, visa wrote:

A difficult question... it was an outstanding series that covered a lot of musical terrain... it really depends on what you're in to. Personally, the releases I enjoyed most were: Naw - Gibberish Multiplex - Iroquois ARC/Aidan Baker - Repercussion Hellothisisalex - The Canadian Spelling Program Paul --- www.quietresonance.tk visa <v.kuoppala@pp.inet.fi> wrote: Now that there is a discount for the Piehead 2002 series, I can actually afford to acquaint myself with this label. David Kristian's My Three Suns is phenomenal. If you like BOC, Casino vs Japan and the like, you won't regret getting this one. I Am Robot And Proud was nice too, so was Hellothisisalex, but the Kristian one is definitely my fave.
