Nonresponse sent a promo of an upcoming 12" release: nr-003 / Loess
'12BC'. For the uninitiated, Loess came out last year as the answer to the
unknown sounds of BOC past. Their album is an absolute must own!
Track one is a remix of Ontayso's "Cianuro". It's nice and slow, dark
ambient. The music is sedating, pulsating with the rhythm, gradually
climbing to a higher plateau. If you're interested in some finer moments
of introspection then this is the track for you.
The second track is a remix of Gridlock's "Chrometaphore". It's a bit more
upbeat but still retains elements of darkness. Added to the feeling on the
Ontayo remix is the warmth and comfort of gentle melodies and percusssion.
Fans of darker ambient/IDM would do well to pick up this release when it
comes out.
