Funny,I just literally finished listening to it in my car on the way to the library here. I'm in agreement with another in that I'm not into Dino Felipe as much as the Schematic crew (and how many albums of his did they put out? seems that most of the 20s in their cat. were his...) The Richard Devine could have had a few more beats, as with a lot of his work actually, but the Otto tracks were right on target. Sort of reminds me of 8000BC. I suppose I have a rather mixed opinion, because the only one on Schematic I adore is Otto. If you're into the other artists' previous work, they certainly do contribute solid material all around. Hope that helps. --- Melangenoir@aol.com wrote:

Here's my Gridface review. I'm not really into Von Schirach, myself: Various: Well-Suited for General-Purpose Audio Work Schematic, 2003 Schematic’s always been good at putting comps together. Perhaps it’s because their artists’ palettes are relatively similar. There’s a glitchy Schematic aesthetic which borders on cold and clinical, but is always interesting. From Phoenecia’s remix of Tipper’s “Dissolve (Out),” with its soft patter of chimes and distorted voices, to Dino Felipe’s trio of gritty tracks, this is a solid grouping of exclusive music. Even Otto Von Schirach’s contributions are tolerable. While Schematic’s comps continue to be essential listening, I wouldn’t mind seeing them expand their roster even more. There’s nothing wrong with having a singular purpose, but evolution is a good thing too. Regards, J On Friday, June 27, 2003, at 03:40 AM, Melangenoir@aol.com wrote:
