All the measurements that I've seen boil down to about 5 1/4 inch. What that doesn't take into consideration, of course, are differences based on cultural genetics. I think the important distinction is to always err on the side of shorter when it comes to hearing about average lengths, especially in this regard ;D derek -- eggytoast.com - eggtastic.com ----- it's in your grocer's freezer --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

There's a lot of 6s out there, and there's a large number of 5 to 6s out there. I've had a few 7s and probably 3 or 4 8s. Nothing bigger as I can recall. I've also had one or two abnormally small ones and a few 4s. You guys keep walking into this stuff. Or maybe I drag you. --- Household Names - one reason why tax day this year won't suck. Ha ha !!! You've opened a can of worms ;-) In my less street-cred un-IDM persona I'm a catographer (I take photos of cats for breeders websites and at shows etc.) We 'own' FIVE cats (for the connoisseurs: one Maine Coon, one Norwegian Forest cat and the other three are rescue moggies with lots of character). Much like Thoughtbludgeon, my two children and I also suffer from allergies... but wtf. The rewards from our feline friends outweigh the sniffles. This *is* OT, so to make it less so, I can add Cat Power to the already mentioned list of track titles & albums named after cats! I really like cats. They're great with a side of barbeque sauce, or, heck, battered and deep fried! mmmm... course, I'm allergic to the fur, so I have to get someone else to skin 'em. derek -- eggytoast.com - eggtastic.com ------ it's in your grocer's freezer --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

I've never even considered this... I would love to find some.. been meaning to get up (i'm in the UK) in time for perfect dark's broadcast of IDM.. would love to hear more of it.. Starting to consider doing my own broadcasting.. found live365 which looks very reasonable, its just it only supports mp3 and a maximum bitrate of 56k for all but the pro users ($75 per month or more) .. are there any other similar services/servers that support more forward thinking formats, ogg, mp3pro, aac.. and higher bitrates?!? or to do this is it only really possible to run your own server... if that was the case you could only really deal with 4 people simultaneously.. Plus live365's paying of royalties on most american music, after my brief look through their legal section.. is encouraging, as opposed to even considering it on your own.. ANyone know anything on this? There's quite a few idm shows on internet broadcasts ranging from Dublab (the be all of downtempo and idm) to The Mobius on WREK in Atlanta not to mention perfect dark and what's that other California internet station? I'm sure there's a few. Pcz, A On Thursday, June 26, 2003, at 08:01 PM, James R Bamford wrote:

I used Live365 for a couple years before they started changing their policies to *severely* limit what a broadcaster can do. I now run an IDM shoutcast stream @ 56Kbps which can support 75 concurrent listeners. It costs me around $2.00 per listener. Check it out: http://www.staticbeats.com/webcast Im broadcasting 24/7 out of San Francisco, California =) I still have a Live365 account for all my Jungle mixes and coincidentally it's the #1 ranking in the Jungle category: http://www.live365.com/cgi-bin/directory.cgi?genre=jungle If anyone is interested in starting their own station or is looking for hosting of web or shoutcast OGG / RealMedia / IceCast / Windows Media streams - please contact me offlist to discuss prices ...
