I was flipping through compilations at the record store tonight (Amoeba LA), and one called The Fire This Time caught my eye. Double cd with a couple Black Lung remixes of Aphex Twin (one is Come to Daddy) and some Bola track called Dog in America, which according to the liner notes has been released somewhere, although that doesn't sound familiar to me at all. I don't know if it's dj mixed or just a standard comp, but the first cd is 'narrated' by somebody, and the second cd isn't. Anybody know what I'm talking about? Anybody heard it? Am I making sense?

I heard part of The Fire This Time on KPFK in LA today, it's a documentary about US involvement in Iraq. With -- believe it or not -- a cool electronic soundtrack. The guy on KPFK mentioned that Aphex Twin was on the soundtrack so I'm pretty sure it's the same one you're referring to. JOhn Albers, Brian A. wrote:

sense? Yes! The fire this time is great! Very interesting, lots of good music, lots of good samples. CD 1 has a narrative about events during the gulf war while CD 2 is purely instrumental and has almost the same track listing as CD 1 though does have a few different tracks. heres the offical website: http://www.firethistime.org/ Mark Get your free 15MB mailbox on Lycos Email - http://mail.lycos.co.uk
