He just released a 7" that sounds like a sibling to the "icol diston" ep that came out a few years back. And in a good way -- beautiful stuff. 1 beaty track with some great melodies, and 1 ambient droney track that's ok if you like ambient droney stuff. I've heard that a new release is due out before the end of the year, some time around the end of summer, but, of course, you never can be sure about smaller labels. I'd imagine it's more "atol scrap" than "tides," though, simply based on his work before and after tides. by go-to disc i meant the one album that i always know will work for me if i'm feeling a certain way. i think some people listen to specific discs to change their moods, and others listen to specific discs to confirm or mirror their moods. i tend to do the latter, and arovane tides is my sad/sentimental choice selection. adam
