To affirm your suspicions.. Remember that song 'POP' by NSYNC? I'm sure you're at least aware of it unless you live under rock.. That was produced by BT. What a sellout eh? --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Mental note: rent SLC Punk tonight. (Proem once mentioned it as being one of his favorite movies. Point in his favor. He also really liked Cube. Point against. I was hoping at least one person would get this.

Cube wasnt too bad, but it wasnt too good, so lets leave Proem at +.3 I guess thats what happens when you take a decent idea for a movie and muddy it up with that silly ending, and that one really, really cheesy falling scene that looked like they used stock footage of a falling blowup doll. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

I've heard of NSYNC, and heard that he did some remix for them, but never heard it. I've probably heard NSYNC in the grocery store or something, but my radio listening habits are limited to NPR, and I don't watch MTV, so I couldn't make a judgement call one way or another. I guess that's a metaphorical rock of some kind. From what I know of BT (limited mostly to his looks) though, I'd say he was bought out long before he remixed a boy band single. He name-dropped Sasha in one blurb I saw, didn't need to hear anything more after that. w --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

producing a track for n'sync for a fuckload of cash is not selling out, it's doing your job if you're a producer who's trying to make a living. i'd do it in a heartbeat if there was a paycheck involved. i hate working shitty desk jobs instead of making money off my music. that shit logic about making money off music equals "selling out" only works if you're in high school. what IS selling out is when BT puts his smiling face in an ad for ANY motherfucker who throws a free unit and a couple $K at him ... seriously BT dude man ... is there any musical product you won't shill for? how do i get that hookup or do i have to look like a surfer boy too? -asterprox --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

that dirty pop song is the shiznit. well...... the music anyway. the structure of bts songs are the shiznit. i like the way he'll take all the sounds hes using and at one point do all these little tricks that tie them all in a big knot and then........ BOOM!!!!!!!!! FUCKING BOOM. that shit blows up crazy. all he needs is to do some serious beat programming and hed be up there with the best. i saw him making a track live on some tech tv bs and he just uses beat samples(takes out mids on one beat, takes out lows on another, layers them and voila). FUCK THAT! you will never hear a song by me with a "sampled" beat. every last stutter or roll must be step sequenced or i wont deal with it. o yea live drumming would also be acceptable (only if it was done by me). im a control freak though. and very groggy from eating xanax last night. cheers. d --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

really there should be book called xanax nation. do you know what alprazolam will do to your memory? chalk boards and erasers are the key here. i love drugs of most type but i have to say that the abuse of xanax i think is something of a conspiracy(im not one for ctheories) now it's certainly a good tool for the poor partier, making alcohol stretch for those who club without cash but the lasting effects and the morning-after hangover are much too much to deal with. do as thou wilt, of course, but be informed nonetheless. doyou smoke cigarettes? also, xanax does absolutely nothing for the enjoyment of music....when you can't remember who played, what's the point? on that note, i had some diazepam for an autechre concert and while im currently downloading the mp3 of that very show, im going to be excited to actually remember the show moreso than just remembering that it was totally beence... happy popping! --- DJSTiK420@aol.com wrote:
