I heard that chick from 4 non blondes is doing IDM now
in San Francisco...perhaps look for some of that
influence in the new Pink cd. Must've been Madonna's
influence. She's obviously quite IDM.
But seriously, some of that max.ernst stuff is IDM,
and at least has female nomenclature. Does Thomas
Brinkmann have a harem, or just an inventive mind (or
both)?
Thinking on it further, IDM is far too geeky to
recruit the chicks--but detroit techno, trip hop,
booty bass, and many other forms of electronic music
have at least a handful of chicks to offer (K. Hand,
Andrea Parker, Martine, Beth Gibbons--ok, that's going
a bit far, granted).
