um, here's the newest coupla releases from us at Monotonik/Mono211, who do
the freely downloadable mp3 thang:
Anders Svensson - "Keywords EP"
[debut solo release anywhere for the Swedish musician who was in
Scandinavian indie bands through the '80s and '90s, and is now concentrating
on 'simple melodies and sweet harmonies' - 3 gorgeous
idm-ish songs like a purer, looping Plaid or summat. :P]
Dice, aka Prob. - "Skyline Remix"
[a rare Mono211 sublabel release from the Finnish d+b don, who's
had releases on Moving Shadow and Formation, as well as his own
Mangofunk Records, and is forthcoming on his own label with a
Peshay remix. This is a much mellower track than you'd expect,
a remix of an oold .MOD release on Mono, with dreamy spoken vocals
and a sunny, intelligent sound.]
