-- The rest of Gas. (Unless you really dislike 4/4). -- Biosphere's "Substrata" & "Cirque" great for falling asleep to, Cirque is the beatier of the two, also the loopier and more minimal >> closer to Gas, but many would say Substrata is the better CD. I love them both. -- The KLF's "Chill Out" an absolute classic, incredible sound quality, incredible sounds. "Konigforst" is wonderful to wake up to. I f you like this stuff you might want to check out some of the more ambient stuff on Chain Reaction, but then again if you don't like the 4/4 pulse don't bother with any of this. nick --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

I have _Zauberberg_ and like it well enough, though I feel that waking up to it might be a little... er... *intense*. I assume _Konigsforst_ is a bit less dark- night-of-the-soul. Anyway, that obsessive muffled carpetbeating 4/4 kickdrum puts me in mind of Fluxion, esp. his _Vibrant Forms II_ (yep, on CR - purveyors of what was once memorably dubbed 'heroin house'!)). A propos of which (shifting topic seamlessly), does anyone have anything to report on _Alphabet_, Fluxion's release under the moniker Silex on his own Vibrant Music label?
