I know that Von was the first album. In fact, I own
Von. You're right, It just skipped my mind. I should
have said last album instead of first album. My bad.

I was really harsh on () in my previous post. I
actually like it in spots too. Tracks 2, 3, and 4 are
pretty good. Song 8, "Pop Song", has a great ending,
but the first 6 minutes are dull as hell. I have been
pretty brutal to () simply because it's so
disappointing. If it didn't have to follow AB, I
would probably view it as an "okay" album. It doesn't
hold a candle to AB, though. The songs just aren't
nearly as strong. JMHO.

That's a pretty good comparison in some ways.
However, MHTRTC and Geogaddi are not terribly
different soundwise, whereas AB and () are quite
different. I was pretty shocked at how stripped down
() was compared to AB. I miss the lush arrangements
with keys, guitar, strings, bass, drums, vocals,
brass, etc. Oh well.
