There's Csound (ugh), PD (deep), and KeyKit (more usable than pd, less open, though) derek --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Hmmm....csound is a bit too nasty for my wee brain....and PD also seems to require very steep learning curve. Where does one find keykit? I believe the url is http://nosuch.com/keykit, but i'm not entirely sure. A quick googling will pop it up. derek --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Koan Pro is fun to play with: http://www.sonicspot.com/koanpro/koanpro.html "Koan Pro is a generative music authoring software package which incorporates MIDI sequencing and dynamic music creation tools. It can be used to create static and dynamic music as well as custom generative music to drive Internet animations." these parts are especially fun: - Extraordinary capability for generative pattern sequencing of multiple sub-patterns - Powerful randomization & mutation functions One problem, however, is it is not good in a live situation, since the sound stops anytime you open up a menu. *shrug* -liz -- www.quantazelle.com www.modsquare.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
