vladislav delay!
even that we have some pretty well-known idm-artists you can't find
decent clubs or idm-related events in finland. besides the live acts
listed here you could try looking for dj dcoms gigs - nuutti is probably
the only known idm-dj :-)
in fact it is a bit weird how finnish idm-artists do gigs mainly in
abroad - vladislav delay has never performed in finland (since he got
famous).
club telex at tampere has some idm-related nights (a few times a year?).
i've tried to list all interesting techno/idm/ambient events on my
page at
http://www.damicon.fi/fri/ but unfortunately 95% of events in here
is commercial pop-crap with trance/hardhouse only. sorry :-/
also you you try looking from these:
http://www.klubit.com/
http://www.lifesaver.net/
http://www.anqqa.com/klubitus/
http://www.accesss.org/
http://www.aktivist.fi/
http://www.bileet.org/
http://www.nyt.fi/kalenteri/
(but i promise to list idm-events at damicon.fi/fri/ so you don't have to
bother unless you're looking for more club-oriented music..)
the best local idm-recordshop can be found at
http://www.disndatrecords.com/,
it is physically located in kaisaniemi, helsinki - they(?) also have an
experimental cafe/clubnight:
http://www.disndatrecords.com/dotcoma.html
if you're in helsinki this friday evening you should probably visit
a new chillout clubnight at kipsari (corner of hämeentie 135 and
muotoilijankatu) which is a nice small place - very underground :-)
you can mail me for more info on how to get there, it can be a bit
tricky to find.
