Hey all,
Just looking for some advice on purchasing a new piece of gear. I am
planning to invest in an MPC 2000XL, but I have been told that the O/S has
been know to crash in the past and I was wondering if the XL has improved in
that regard at all. I was also wondering what advice might be given on the
filter box. I intend to upgrade to the internal zip disc and 32 megs RAM,
as well as the 8 ports as opposed to the standard 2, but I am curious as to
what others' thoughts are on this piece.
Is there something comparable that you would recommend over this piece? I
also know that Akai's customer support is pretty bad, which concerns me to
some extent. I was thinking of looking into E-bay, but I am a bit leary of
getting used gear from someone I don't know.
Any suggestions? Your assistance is certainly appreciated.
