Are there 2 "mum"'s? One "mum" just swung thru San Francisco and was a 4-member deal, and has really great pretty vocals and stuff - and there's another "mum" on Klein Records? They're not the same are they? I am confused. I didn't do my research and got one of the records on Klein and although some tracks were good, it sounded nothing like "Finally We Are No One", which is the sound (and the mum) I was after. Will someone set me straight? dave PS: Re: Prefuse - don't hate the player hate the game! --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

2 mum's. the one with with the ` is the icelandic quartet (soon to be trio) and the one it sound like you were seeking. the other one, on klein, is most forgettable. most record stores i've seen have yet to figure this out either and keep them under the same header. b. "Mum" is Paul Schneider and Stefan Jungmayer from vienna. they are similar to the vienna-downtempo scene, but they are more danceable than the usual K&D/Tosca/sofa Surfers stuff, using some fine dark breakbeats and abstract scratches on their self-titled debut album. not that bad actually..... bye, »Eikman« -] http://www.eikman.net [- ----- Original Message ----- From: "b.phenix" <nobody@glitchpop.net> To: "Dave Dunstan" <dave@underpop.org> Cc: <idm@hyperreal.org> Sent: Tuesday, August 13, 2002 9:40 PM Subject: Re: [idm] a tale of 2 MUMs
