------- Additionally, regardless of what anyone thinks about Bowie, he's a consummate performer and certainly has the experience to do it and do it well. I saw him on his 50th Birthday tour and I have to say he surprised me. I'd seen him many, many times in the 70s and 80s, but didn't expect him to be that sharp, and, well, asskicking. Moby I have not seen. I do remember seeing The Crystal Method when they toured with Orbital maybe 3-4 years back and that poster's description of Moby reminds me of TCM. Horrible and silly. If I recall, they trashed a keyboard in the set (didn't make much difference as I'm quite sure it wasn't online anyway), making the whole thing seem even more pointless than their music (after 30 seconds you've heard what they have to offer imo). That post sounded like a good case of a bad combination of acts and an even worse case of billing order. Kind of like when I saw King Crimson warming up for Slade in the 70s. Or maybe Yes paired with Balck Sabbath (both of these are not made up). jeff --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

I set my stop watch to see how long kent was going to take to use "Slagging Moby is as much a Viral Internet Meme" You used that phrase last time. Its almost as quick as coming to Cex's defense when somebody makes a derogitory comment about him. What the hell is Bowie doing opening up for Moby anyway ? That would be like having Depeche Mode open up for Fischerspooner! Damn, you can't even poke fun at everyones favorite bald "asswad" without getting people getting all off the hook. I thought it was funny. As for Ken, no hard feelings. If its as hot where you are as it is here, I can see why you are getting all non-linear. If that isn't the case, perhaps http://www.angermgmt.com/ would be of use. To keep this on topic, anyone get the new Astrobotnia yet ? how does it compare to the first two. That really happened. I remember it quite well all of the parents in the crowd wondering why they brought their daughter to hear music about "never taking acid again". This one guy asked me if this was the Prodigy because I was the oldest guy there. Smiles all around from me.
