just an opinion,
fraz."
Fraz, I completely understand your frustration. Really... I grew up in
Kansas and, to see anything I remotely loved would require a 20-hour round
trip drive to Chicago to achieve it. We are doing everything we can to
get our artists here live in front of as many people in as many places
possible. I mean, in the last year, we did have Autechre, Mira Calix and
Plaid over here for full US tours, which hadn't happened in a dog's age or
never before. It's a big part of what we want to achieve and develop:
more live events. But to get artists over here can be a Herculean task.
But, it should be duly noted that the Warp crew just completed a
gargantuan tour of Europe not two weeks ago. Folks need a breather.
BUT, we wanted to do something this year. Last year we did one (1) Warp
night last summer in NYC. This year we are doing four (4) nights in
NYC, Toronto, Chicago and Los Angeles. Just imagine what next year might
hold. Just have a little patience.
feedback appreciated,
KCG
