i got the cd so we can compare lol i was tempted to get the vinyls but i have a couple stupid self rules about vinyl purchasing 1. if there is a CD and the album wasn't originally ONLY vinyl pressing/master, then I buy the CD because to be totally honest, it's cheaper, probably half the price, and, it probably sounds absolutely perfect. 2. i try to only buy new or newly reissued vinyl so maybe possibly it somehow benefits the artist or label in the least minimal way, although i do buy tons of old stuff that i 'always wanted as a kid' lol 3. only buy the deluxe mega-dolla bling big spenda edition if it's like one of my ultra favorite artists which was a hard call with autechre but, the fact that a lot of the tracks seem too big to fit on one side without some real compression also made my decision maybe i should just buy both says my brain Clint Anderson Systems Engineer "Freedom -- paint me a picture!" -- Burton Cummings On Tue, Aug 14, 2018 at 10:04 AM Chris Bellevie <c.bellevie@gmail.com> wrote:

Oh, I meant I got the CD, but expect as soon as everyone starts talking about the vinyl, I will regret CD. I opted for the CD version mostly because I felt the listening experience would be better. It didn't hurt that it was much cheaper. The vinyl looks like it will be available in stores, so maybe I will break down and buy only parts that seem to work and are not too broken up. I got the CD version mainly because of $$$. I'll likely never listen to the actual CDs, but I do love me some nice tDR packaging. Can't imagine the CDs are going to sound any better than the 24-bit WAVs. I also agree that splitting All End across sides of vinyl seems a little odd. But again, the actual physical manifestation of that is probably going to be pretty amazing. On Tue, Aug 14, 2018 at 11:47 AM Clint Anderson <clinta@gmail.com> wrote:

Oh god, yes. I still really enjoy everything up through Dos Dedos, but things that have come out after that (post-Mansell) have been hard to get excited about. tDR's work for the Two Fingers My Friends remix collection was top notch. Zero half-measures, as it were. On Tue, Aug 14, 2018 at 11:56 AM Ed Tyler <hekula@googlemail.com> wrote:

And the video compilation somewhere - all the wonderful early camcorder videos like the one in the playground, rapping to the boombox in the station, etc. Maybe I'll dig that out this weekend actually.
