I just listened to _The Action Packed Mentallist Brings You The Fucking Jams_ cd by Kid606. So basically this is just a an unauthorized mix-cd with new Kid606 music played over it, right? It's pretty awful. My take on it: its fun to listen to, but lets be honest, this ain't exactly mixing wizardry. The flow to the entire disc is just terrible. There are parts that work, but when you throw shit together for 9-14 minutes per track you're bound to come up with SOMETHING interesting. Maybe his intent was to come off rough, but why try it with this sort of project? See, when bit meddler does this sort of thing I just love it. Call me crazy, but when someone attempts to create a work such as this I would imagine they ought to have a vision prior to the actual production. i'm pretty sure this is just miguel trying to capture his current live show on disc, and that's why its ruff and that's why its not on tb6 or mille plateaux. the live show is amazing, it's intense, it's a fucking blast, sort of like the cd except with beer and dancing. asterprox
