...I'm with Omar on that one. Some of the best live performances and DJ sets I have seen have come from DEMF. Twonz playing underground comes to mind...De la Soul in the rain last year? Excellent. DEMF is more about the after-parties if you ask me. Ben Sims and Marco Carola tagging 3 tables for HOURS for $10? Yeah, DEMF is nice...although I still think I will be finding my way to MUTEK instead this season. Never trust a big butt and a smile, J~

I gotta say, those who rocked my socks off last year at DEMF were cats who I had never heard of before...that's the beauty. I fear that over-the-hill "names" will be the feature as opposed to up-and-comers this year. but look out for those artists who are "unheard of"...they got on the billing somehow, so apparently somebody knows they can rock it...
