I swear there's something really similar in the sound of the last track off Hood's 'Cold House' and the first track off Jim O'Rourke's 'I'm Happy And I'm Singing and 1, 2, 3, 4'.
It's the stammery voice in the Hood track that reminds me of the Jim O'Rourke number.
Umm... that's all. Oh, except to say that I reckon 'Cycle of Days and Seasons' is a much nicer Hood album than 'Cold House', but I guess even less relevant to this list. I'm a bit of a fan of albums with a really sustained feel to them, and 'Cold House' seemed quite bitsy and all over the show to me. But mainly, I just don't like the songs so much. The melodies and so on.
