'beautiful' on i220 is indeed by gez varley.
mark gage has just (or soon?) released
an interesting project of remixing prog-rock:

but there's a third g-man around who comes to mind,
and uses the alias g-pal: george pallikaris ;-)
with releases on elektrolux and plastic city
and many others i'm not familiar with.
