Caught the second half of it live. That stuff seemed to be on the slower side of things. Looped through and started listening to the first half, then saw that it's already available for download on the Ae store. First track, "elyc9 7hres", is pretty insane, in a very, very good way. Next track, "six of eight (midst)", is also really good. Almost Chiastic Slide-y in some ways. Cannot believe we're getting eight hours of new Ae in less than a month.

Really enjoying the whole thing. It's not like the bing plonk sproing clomp kind of AE which I'm not really partial to. More the dark and industrial type, which I am. One lighter ambientish track in there

I'll do a bit of a review as this one is well up my alley. Still very fresh but I'll go on a limb and say one of my personal great electronic releases. This is why I started liking electronic music. Usually I don't even really like AE in these more recent years at least. too random clustro casual - Nice opener. A little like old school AE here. Church music splesh - a little more like new school AE. Kind of Spookyish gonging but maybe a lot weirder. just keeps going somewhere. Weird clanging synth lines in there tt1pd - "Fuckin 'ell! Fuckin 'ell! That's something else, innit? It's like two songs" Well it is 22 min long. The first song is really my kind of AE. Cue ball on slate staccato on again off again beat, crazy bass and bassy synths for 10 minutes. Worth the price of admission. Second song is like same thing but way slower and more insane acid mwan idle - gongs didgeridoo and cicadas. Almost like a crescendo. yeah it is actually fLh - like Electric Company on a happy day but the batteries in the tape deck are dying. Marching music for demented clown robots glos ceramic - just insane. I won't even try to describe it. I'll say I'd like to hear it on acid (not really likely at this age lol. maybe I'll try to get my kid to get me some). I would also say it's pretty dark g 1 e 1 - trippy aphexesque thing icari - dark slow. gets well into weird territory around 6:30. Then weirder about 9:00. I want to dance to it like some kind of freak after 10:00. I don't care if this is 20:00 long, I'm still listening to see what's going to come next. Something pretty strange actually. Maybe like Coil. So was the last ambient track shimriplair a bit actually, the drone stuff. And a raucous conclusion to this album-ending track I dunno maybe I just need to listen to more Autechre.

Yeah, specifically regarding NTS 3, to me it really brought to mind memories of early 90s and 80s industrial/experimental acts like einsturzende neubauten and throbbing gristle and the like, who i'm sure have been big influences on ae (coil of course too) could almost pass for a demdike stare session were it not for the dense manipulations all over everything. i did really enjoy this session more as a whole than the others, it seemed to have more of a coherent theme to it and there were only a couple moments where, briefly, i sort of felt lost and bored with some irritating bit of sonic furniture cast my way repeatedly.
