have you checked out? Trevor Loveys, 16B, Muzique Tropique, Anthony Teasdale (anything on Alola records realy). Chris Gray (deep4life, fragmented). The Persuader, ADNY (most of the stuff on SVEK is pretty good)

His new album should be out very soon, haven't heard it yet though ... he's had several 12" releases lately too. check http://www.freestylegrooves.com/gu for details. cheers, Bart --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Disturbedances (elting_lieb), Dirk Diggler's "Atomic Dancefloor", new Susumu Yokota (Zero) is *quite* housey, Jet (aka Anders Remmers), Punkt Records "Coming Closer" comp., the Abstract Fusion 3 comp. if you don't have it (on Trackmode), Future Beat Alliance gets Detroitish is a nice way, Truby Trio DJ Kicks is amazing but more latinesque jazz-house (as you might imagine), Tejada's Backstock (on Palette) is very good, but maybe a bit more tech than house in a kind of Perlon/Klang/Playhouse way - still excellent. If you haven't heard Signer's "Giving it up to Feel Affected", it's not exactly tech-house in the sense of, say, Diggler, but it's got that lush warmth and deep groove/big kick combined with great melody which is right where you like to go. jeff At 06:11 AM 1/11/2002, Hackett, Kelley M. wrote:

If you like Glenn Underground your probably familiar with Johnny Fiasco. He has a newer release on the Rithma label called Caves. I highly recommend it. He uses some really nice sounds that open a certain presence in the room. Estelle Montenegro aka Kenneth Graham has released some of the hook material lately. Pete Moss formerly from the UK(Ithink) has been recording out of Philly. Great stuff...... -Chris

::He has a newer release on the Rithma label called Caves. WOAH... haha. That's some twisted information. Rithma is a recording artist. A damn good one as well. Check his records on terraform, OM, tweekin, and a few others. Find his bio/booking at http://www.ucmgny.com/artists/rithma.htm "Caves, tunnels" is the name of the record. This is by far one of my top 10 favorite this year. Johnny fiasco just did a remix of it on the B. the label is Terraform. If you're looking into him, check out his record "water". I have the remixes on MP2. Theres a way-too-heavy remix by Wally lopez, but the A-side comes with the smoothness... a remix by Kenny Hawkes and Joshua (plus beats). A) if you have the cash, buy his records. Groovetech and tweekin.com have good selections of 'em B) if you get a chance, hear this kid spin. C) if you get a chance, talk to him. He's quite nice. Other than that, take care. Peace a. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

the obvious first picks would be MRI and Crane AK, both on Force Inc/Forcetracks... really really smooth stuff. I assume you've found these already because they've been out for some time... Ricardo Villalobos "Love Family Trax" CD ... this one is great, somewhere in that Playhouse/Perlon sound, with Akufen, Villalobos, etc... really nice mix, continuous DJ set Akufen "Quebec Nightclub" LP (Perlon) super cut-up really angular house, lots of samples of radio, television and other artists tossed in. The best thing I've heard on Perlon. v/a "Superlongevity" 2CD (Perlon) continuous 2CD set (well, it stops between CDs ;-) which actually wears a bit thin by the end of each disc, but is basically all you could ever want from Perlon's backcatalogue. Jetone "Ultramarin" (Force Inc) deep techno, i think this is one of the better Force Inc releases of recent past Corvette 12" (Max Ernst) Brinkmann at his finest, with lots of musclecar samples and slick beats Misc. 12" (Forcetracks) really slick techhouse by numbers, kinda, but still worth checking out. Probably closer to what you've described below. Losoul "Belong" CD (Playhouse) some nice middle ground between techy and straight-ahead house music. sorry for the superbrief descriptions, not feeling up to the challenge really tonight, but these are all worth looking into I think.

Yes, that's what I thought too, and promptly ordered Superlongevity from s/kimo, but I don't get it ... at all. What's all the fuss about? This doesn't come close to getting me excited. A track here and there maybe, but as a whole (and it got such good reviews) ?? Maybe I'm in the wrong mood. All the time :-) I * --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
