depressing.
I can't even hate MTV for it, they're giving their fans exactly what they
want. But these kids... they are happy to go there and be told what their
opinion is, just for the tiny chance they will get to look like a total
ass on national TV for 10 seconds? Is the concept of individuality so
completely beneath their contempt that they beg for the opportunity to
give it away?
It makes me sick.
As someone who's lived in this country all his life, I tell you TRL is the
most definite sign I've seen yet that the gluttonous monster known as
American popular culture is on the fast track to self-annihilation. As
soon as these TRL kids find themselves 30-something and in charge, well
that's the end of the world, I'm sure.
That's ok, I always really really dug those mad max movies!
